Sunday Morning

Sunday morning at home with the youngest child, the doge, and the hubby. The dog woke me up early with her high pitched whine begging me to go into the frigid outdoors. Next, the girl got up and promptly put "Journey to the Center of the Earth" in the DVD player. Of course this is the third watching in less than 24 hours. Soon, she will memorize it and be quoting lines.

I do too many things at once. I try to watch TV, play games on Face book, and read simultaneously. Sometimes my mind works way to fast. I'm reading "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" by Barbara Kingsolver and family and am fantasizing that my family can live on all natural local agriculture as well. Nice fantasy, it goes especially well with my desire wine and cheese. I guess I will be eating and drinking Ohio wine and cheese.

It is time to get ready for church. The little one refuses to go this morning, opting instead for her movie then the library with dad. Hubby considers the coffee shop and the library his spiritual home. I go more for the traditional model of a church...one with a sanctuary and a minister.

This moment in time well represents Sunday morning in the home. Peaceful yet chaotic.
